Google is currently addressing this issue in the latest beta release by giving users the option to send media in its original quality. Users will be prompted to choose between two options when sending media:
- Chat-Optimized Quality: Faster sending with lower quality.
- Original Quality: No change in quality, using more data.
Once a choice is made, this option will apply to all current and future chats.
